The Company

Automobile Addiction is a privately owned company founded two years ago by two guys that have an obsession with cars.  We develop our own products, build our own molds, manufacture our own bodies and frames and most of trims needed.  Design development and assembly is handled in our 15,000 square foot facility which uses state of the art technology and equipment to meet the industry’s highest quality standards  and increase overall efficiency.  It is a small, highly focused company that is passionate, dedicated to quality of product and providing a great customer experience.

The History

As soon as we had an interest to build a Kit Car, there seemed to be nothing on the market that fit our needs.  After countless hours of searching the web and magazines, Kit Cars that were available were expensive and required too much time to complete.  Although many builders want a hobby; we wanted a car, now, not in two or three years and soon came to realize that we were not the only ones!

Building this company made our dreams a reality; providing builders easy to assemble, reliable and affordable Kit Cars that are designed to fit today’s many different life styles and skill requirements.

The Team

Patrick Rennie, President, leads product design and development.  Over thirty years of experience in building metal, plastic and wood molds, welding, drawing, engineering and designing products.  A creative problem solver with the experience and insight to quickly evaluate and come up with a solution that is appropriate and cost effective.  A visionary capable of conceptualizing new possibilities and trends in future products, and has hands on passion to see ideas become reality.

Michael Bertrand , Vice President of Operations, supervises the facility and its operations.  Michael has previously built several kit cars and held a variety of manufacturing, finance and business development positions over the past thirty years. His experience includes all phases of manufacturing management, industrial relations, cost control, manufacturing operations and production scheduling and control.

With combined enthusiasm for and dedication to the cars, this “dynamic duo” is the perfect combination for this ambitious, but realistic, project.  Each of them having a great deal of knowledge of areas related to his own field and always committed to excellence.

Business Philosophy

Automobile Addiction has clearly identified that a component car should be designed to satisfy today’s life style and budget requirements, as people have less free time for hobbies, and skilled craftsman are becoming expensive and harder to find.

Automobile Addiction offers two comprehensive Component Sports Car packages, which are preassembled to the highest quality standard. The customers are left with all the fun part to complete and power their toys with reasonable time investment.

For budgeted oriented customers, our Component Sport Car can be built around $35K depending of engine and mechanical options.

Because we sale and export our products all over the world, we use the internet which is the latest and cheapest technology available to market our products and communicate with our customers with the best quality service.
